Our bathroom projects
1- Rosemont : A real bathroom
We created this new bathroom as part of a duplex-to-cottage conversion. We used one of the upstairs bedrooms to add this bathroom.
Uncluttered comfort with no frills
We suggested to the owners that they retain the room’s abundant windows to showcase the bathtub. The shower and sink are more discreet, while remaining functional and well integrated into the overall design.
Converting a duplex into a cottage requires careful planning to estimate costs. Our design-build team is ideally placed to advise you.
2- Hochelaga: An Italian-style bathroom for the 21st century
This uncluttered, unusual bathroom remains highly functional. The Italian-style shower is an interesting concept that works well in small spaces, allowing access to the shower without obstacles or even a threshold.
Simple, user-friendly choices
The design of this bathroom is very simple. This is a bare bathroom, with no window or shower curtains, and no superfluous accessories. Horizontal fenestration provides plenty of light while protecting occupants’ privacy. The linear wooden countertop adds a warm touch to this Zen concept. The horizontal mirror also does a good job of visually enlarging the space and increasing the brightness of the area.
We carried out this work as part of a more comprehensive renovation project, including an extension where the bathroom was located.
3- Mont-royal: Two harmonious and functional bathrooms
In this Montreal residence, our mandate was to renovate two bathrooms: a small powder room and a full master bathroom. The objective: to create two elegant, bright and easy-to-maintain rooms, while maintaining a unity of style between the two spaces.
Small bathroom: simplicity and balance
Despite its small dimensions, the small powder room stands out for its sleek design. The custom vanity, matte black handles, wall-mounted faucet and dark countertop contrast subtly with the whiteness of the walls. The result: a minimalist yet warm space, perfectly proportioned and visually uncluttered.
Large bathroom: warmth, storage and comfort
The master bathroom combines space and functionality. The long, natural wood countertop adds an organic touch, while white cabinetry with recessed panels maximizes storage. The glass shower with sliding doors and black accessories create a visual coherence with the small powder room. Brass pendant fixtures and a discreet floor pattern add a touch of refinement and softness.
These two bathrooms perfectly embody the Des Constructions Max Larocque approach: a balance between aesthetics, durability and everyday comfort. Every element – from the choice of materials to the layout of the volumes – has been designed to stand the test of time, while meeting the practical needs of modern life.

4- Rosemont : An airy Italian-style bathroom
The bathroom in this townhouse had been designed with a corner bathtub that used a lot of space unnecessarily, and a narrow shower that was difficult to move around in. The bathtub and shower required major corrections in terms of design, access and maintenance.
Our team completely rethought the layout and styling to achieve a more open space and a more contemporary look. The change is spectacular.
An Italian-style concept
With its Italian-style design, the bathtub shares a common space with the shower, optimizing available space while creating a highly contemporary design.
The layout now matches the owners’ objectives, with its easy-access freestanding bath, large ceramic shower, two sinks and more airy space.

5- Hochelaga-Mercier: Contemporary bathroom makeover
In a condo with an urban profile, the existing bathroom was functional but lacked warmth, space optimization and character – the owner wanted a large shower, smart storage and a chic design befitting a high-end interior. To meet these expectations, our team worked with rigor and finesse, focusing on uncluttered aesthetics and a highly comfortable user experience.
A layout designed for comfort and durability
The chosen concept favors a large glass shower in matt black hardware, perfectly integrated into the space and guided by a concern for visual legibility. The grey-blue wall tiles, laid horizontally, lend depth and linearity to the volume. The light-colored floor in the shower, combined with a turquoise accent wall, modernizes and energizes the whole. The black towel rail, hanging foliage and refined finishes add the finishing touches to this welcoming, contemporary ambience.
Every detail has been worked on to make the bathroom a distinctive place: view from the entrance, visible natural textures, finishes visible at first glance. The transition between taps, glass and tiles is clean, crisp and contributes to the “magazine” effect, while remaining a space that lives and breathes every day. Today, the homeowner can enjoy a luminous space, designed for relaxation, while benefiting from well-thought-out storage and a generous shower – an example of high-end residential renovation in Montreal, signed Constructions Max Larocque.
6- Montréal: The discreet charm of a 1930s condo – Domus finalist
As soon as they bought their condominium, the new owners of this condo knew they had to redo the bathroom, and that it was going to be a bit of a problem. In fact, the underside of a staircase ran through the center of this small room, giving it an “L” shape. They turned to us for a turnkey project.
Remarkable old-world charm
Our design department understood the need to take advantage of the presence of the staircase to give the room an old-fashioned feel. We turned a “problem” into an “opportunity”. The architectural style was perfectly suited to the rest of the residence. The design of a room must take into account the whole of the dwelling if it is to be well integrated.
It’s always a good idea for homeowners to consult us as soon as they purchase their property, so that we can guide them through the logical renovation steps.
7- Saint-Lambert: A bright, spacious bathroom
At our customers’ request, this bathroom with adjacent laundry room was designed to maximize the presence of natural light. The windows have been enlarged, and the choice of white materials accentuates the luminous effect.
A touch of wood for warmth
Too much white can make a room feel cold and impersonal. For this bathroom renovation project, we suggested combining white with wood cabinetry for its warmth and personality. The vertical central cabinet and the horizontal wooden countertop create a dynamic of volumes that respond to each other in the space, while at the same time being very practical.
As a design and build team, we’re very pleased with this simple, chic and contemporary result. Beauty is often in simplicity.

8- Tétreaultville: A modern haven of peace
The traditional bathroom, with its dark hues and aging materials, no longer met the customer’s expectations. He wanted a renovation that would bring a touch of freshness and light, while remaining functional and elegant.
A modern, lively bathroom
Rather than keeping the old, dull materials, the new bathroom was designed with ceramic tiles in mixed shades of green, which create a soothing, natural ambience. The glass shower, combined with these vibrant tiles, exudes modern style while bringing light and airiness to the space. The concrete floor, with its subtle shades of grey, blends in perfectly with the rest of the room, accentuating its natural, serene look.
The end result is a transformed bathroom, both luminous and refined, that perfectly reflects the taste and desires of its owner.
